I hadn't realized SICP had so many haters. Did you notice that the top two reviews are written by Peter Norvig and Paul Graham? Those are some pretty strong endorsements. :) I keep meaning to read SICP and watch the lectures, but it seems like other (shorter) projects always take a higher precedence. Someday...
