@Amr: I probably should have said “advertising” rather than “Adsense”. Adsense doesn’t pay so well compared to other advertising options.

@Marcus: This article was not intended to be 100% serious. I just find it interesting that so many of the bloggers I read (Steve Yegge, Cedric Beust, etc.) have jobs at Google and so many people who were famous programmers already (Josh Bloch, Guido van Rossum) have ended up at Google

@John Doe: I’ve read your comment 4 or 5 times and I’m really not sure what point you are trying to make. Perhaps I’m just slow (which may have been your point).

Dan, you’re already famous but not for your brightness. You’re still young.
Many people write great open source applications and yet they are not that famous.
I was looking at your Linkedin profile.

I don’t believe you , because your commitment will be influenced by your expertise and the salary you get from it
