I'm tempted to have a go a re-implementing the <a href="http://rogeralsing.com/2008/12/07/genetic-programming-evolution-of-mona-lisa/" rel="nofollow">Mona Lisa program</a>, to see if I can make it faster. I notice that somebody else has <a href="http://alteredqualia.com/visualization/evolve/" rel="nofollow">implemented it in JavaScript</a>.
